Coach Jessie Garavaglia
Coach Jessie grew up in Green Bay. She skated
there for ten years, passing through both the Senior Moves in the Field and Senior Freestyle tests, as well as Silver Dance
tests. She skated on the original Sidekicks Synchronized Skating team at the Intermediate level, and competed in individual
skating through the Regional level.
Jessie then attended Northern Michigan University, where she co-founded the NMU Figure Skating
Club and NMU Synchronized Skating team. She served as President of the Figure Skating Club and competed at the 2004 National
Championships with her Synchronized Skating team at the Collegiate level. They even won NMU's "Sport Club of the
Year" award her Senior year.
Coaching since age sixteen, Jessie loves to see her students learn and grow. She knows
that skating teaches valuable life skills in addition to actual skating skills, and tries to instill the importance of goal
setting, hard work, and dedication in each of her skaters. Most importantly, make sure to have fun!
